Anecdotal history is very sparse with stories of humans of exemplary learning skills. Those who have made it to the history books, have dedicated their lives to learning. Learning has always presented difficulties which resulted in a sizable percentage of people, over a period of time, getting left behind.

Among many hurdles, reach of the teachers, material and ability to test one's progress are some of the reasons why learning continues to be a problem. Among many advantages, that Internet offered, distance learning is one that seems to offer tremendous potential to deal with the issue of learning.

It should however be noted that the opportunity presented by Internet is only reaching those who have reached some level of proficiency in learning. We hope that in the long run it will reach masses where it can make a real difference. But, in the mean time, we should be able to use the Internet where it can bring about positive change.

We recongnize that the learning happens incrementally in steps. (1) Learn at a level, (2) test what is learnt, (3) step down, stay at the same level or step up, (1), (2), (3) continue .....
